When I was younger, I always felt that each and everyone of us should live for ourselves. ' Live for oursleves' has become this life-theory. When I'm faced with objections and disagreements about myself from others, I always fall back on the theory. When I cant match up with the expectations of others for myself, I always fall back on the theory. Yes, the theory does have its own validity and often, it makes us feel better. But, perhaps the only reason why I believe in this theory is because it just makes me feel better, it doesnt make me feel guilty-conscience, it's the shortest and easiest way out.
It's inevitable that we will meet with obstacles along these adolescent years. Meeting with emotion burden which is created by others. People judge and you cant sweep those comments off just because we ' live for ourselves'. This year, I learnt to look at these issues with a pair of discerning eyes. Know what are constructive and what are just plain rubbish which attempt to bring you down. Afterall, I believe everything changes; only You and change are ever constant.
It's not easy to match up with expectations when especially you are in a situation where you are nearly hitting rock bottom( in terms of CCA, academics or even friends&family). And that's why when we think we cant do it anymore or we cant surpass our current standards, we fall back on the theory, because we dont want to move out of this comfort zone. Isnt this negative? CORRECTION: It's perhaps negativity to the maximum.(okay makes me think of Maths). It's not about being so much on the top, it's about being the top of yourself.
Therefore I conclude the theory is to be abolished in my life.
Though it's much easier said than done but if we never ever try and really have this thought of starting it good, how are we to say we can never do it?
What about ' Live for others( the people you care)'
To think about it, we are living for others almost every single day, when your best pal is down and worn out, wouldnt you do something to make him/her feel better. When you are playing in a team, wouldnt you just cover up for the mistakes your team mates do and do all out so that in the end the team will emerge as victorians? When you think of doing something bad, wouldnt you stop yourself from doing so because it may hurt the others around you? When you start living for others, everything about living for yourself seems so small.
The day you stop living for others, your life is somewhat meaningless, it's as if your world has only yourself.
And final verdict, I saw an oasis, I see a new direction in my life, I hope to see one in hers and his specifically.
Last but not least, for the Great Commission, I'll live for You.

I think Attention is fatal, it blinds people from reality. Attention brings about temporary happiness which obviously will not last(HOW CAN IT COMPARE TO LOVE). Attention entices insecure people.
So dont bother seeking it.
